Full Pinch Butterfly Top Down
Full rotation on the pinch in top down view

Nollie Tre Flip
This is a short combo of some well known tricks but arranged in a clean and coherent way. Broken down; it's a two finger roll (middle and ring fingers) then it's a gap transfer where the free bead is caught fakie in mid grip, and whirled into a position to perform an infinity beadroll. But, since that is a long description for a combo, I've been referring to it as a Nollie Tre Flip combo, keeping with the subtle roots of incorporating skateboarding lingo into our skill set. Side note; I have found that conical sets like the Aroundsquare Everymans and the Monkeyfinger Kokonutz are easiest to perform this combo, rounded and flat top sets requires a bigger gap for the free bead to be caught in fakie and conical shapes require less of one and has the added benefit of looking cleaner. In order to perform this trick you will already need to know the two finger roll, how to whirl, and how to do an outside beadroll. Master those and this will be a nice little edition to your personal routines.

Fakie Toss
Also known as a fakie aerial toss

Toss
Also known as an aerial toss, or specifically to the video above, a 360 aerial toss.

Flick Variation C
After flick, cancel the momentum with an upwards motions

Two Finger Rolls Variation A
Two finger roll / gap transfer that starts in mid grip but still goes around 23 both directions

Spock

Two Finger Rolls
Tip: To generate more speed in a two finger roll, slightly extend your fingers during the roll to generate tension

Sidewinder

Twister
Twister is a funky little combo that has an awesome feel once you get the timing of it. The combo looks great, in part because of the horizontal stall in the middle of the trick, which seems to momentarily defy gravity.

Blind Drop
Blind Drop is a quick little release move where you drop from high fakie grip down into standard low grip. It takes a gentle touch, but it isn’t as hard as you might think at first, and once you get it down, it makes a nice (and relatively easy) transition into pinkie rolls.

Pinch Tech
The Pinch mechanic simply is pinching the bead with one finger. You can also pinch a bead or joiner with your thumb and finger.

Pinky Roll Variation A
Fakie bead roll down into fakie low grip for pinky roll

Pinch Orbit
Stylish move. In low grip, have loose bead swing over the back of your hand, then pinch down the middle of the string that is laying across your index, and let go of low grip as you rotate/whip the set around.

Flick
Wrap, then intercept with a flick just powerful enough to straighten out the string. Tips: - Relax hand right before the flick. Watch video and notice the fingers contract a little bit before the flick. - Let the Begleri do the work for you, with correct timing and technique, minimum effort will set the beads flying, control the power to not be too much to keep better control. - Keep your hand upright. Do not tilt your hand too far forwards or backwards. Stay centered. If comboing into butterfly, pop your hand up with the flick. As if you're trying to stop it from being an aerial and keep contact with your fingers.

Grave Slips Tutorial A
So what happens is the string slips right in-between your fingers passing the bead you are holding in the current grip. You curl your hand shut and this allows the slinging bead to choose a grip to jump to. If you do it just right the bead flips in the palm of your closed hand. Hence 'Grave'.

Omega Tutorial A
Welcome to the new school. If you're paying attention to what's new in the begleri community, you'll have noticed a lot of players doing a new style of trick in recent months, where a loop of slack is pinched between two fingers, allowing the player to change grips or manipulate the begleri in new and interesting ways.

Neosonic Tutorial A
Here's a great new begleri trick that borrows elements from pen spinning. Neosonic is a great little move that can be used to quickly and discretely change grips. It can be done in different directions, laddered, and the basic mechanic can also be used to hop over mid grip. The result is a fresh way to mix up combos and bring some new variety to your play.

Blind Drop Tutorial A
Blind Drop is a quick little release move where you drop from high fakie grip down into standard low grip. It takes a gentle touch, but it isn't as hard as you might think at first, and once you get it down, it makes a nice (and relatively easy) transition into pinkie rolls.

Whirlwind Tutorial A
This was one of the first tricks developed by Ilya, back in the early days of the begleri community, and it has become so foundational to horizontal play that many players may not even be aware of its origins. Also known as Infinity into Burst

Sonic Rolls Tutorial A
This is a crazy little release move with great flow and versatility. The "Sonic Roll" is an adaptation of a pen spinning trick called a sonic, and helps illustrate the versatility of begleri as a skill toy, incorporating elements of so many other skill toys

Two Hand Grip Transfer Tutorial A
It's one thing to have a bit of competence with your non-dominant hand, but it's quite another to transfer to and from that hand with style and flow. Weston gives some crystal clear slow motion footage and explanations

Pinky Roll Tutorial A
Finger rolls are some of the coolest looking begleri tricks, but rolls on the pinky and thumb are considerably harder than on the other fingers. In this tutorial, Weston Hamilton @12oaksstraightg walks us through his recommendations for getting into the right position, keeping control through the roll, and exiting smoothly

Up And Down The Bowl Tutorial A
This is a very fun, flowy trick that lets you transition from palm up to palm down hoz play, and back again. It's all about maintaining the feel on the string, and if you're struggling to make sense of it, try a relatively heavy set, and maybe a bit longer string than normal, until you get the feel.

Pinball Tutorial A

Back And Forth Roll Tutorial A
Once you're able to do inside rolls and outside rolls consistently, it can be fun to play around between them. Bouncing back and forth between rolls isn't that much harder than doing them individually, and is a nice way to mix up the flow.

Gunslinger Tutorial A
Variation on the inside roll, which I call the gunslinger. The gunslinger begins with a "trigger grip" where you are holding the begleri with the string wrapped in order to create tension. One small flick and off you go.

Two Finger Rolls Tutorial A
This begleri tutorial introduces two finger rolls.. rolls around two fingers at a time.

One Finger Wrap Tutorial A
This begleri tutorial shows a couple of one-finger wraps.

Air Pump Tutorial A
TBD

Gap Transfer Tutorial A
Gap transfers are much more about timing. You'll see in the clip, that you basically scissor your fingers apart as one swings around. If you time it right, the bead that was moving will anchor on your finger, and the scissor action will launch the other bead (the one you *were holding) into motion. This is a continuous motion, so the momentum of the beads doesn't really break..

Outwhirl
TBD

Outside Curl
TBD

Two Finger Wrap Tutorial A
The focus here is on two finger wraps, which can be linked together back and forth/ up and down. The whole tutorial is in the "high grip" with the bead between your index and middle fingers. You can do this in any plane.. I use the borrowed terms "wall plane" and "bike plane" which will make sense in the clip.

Bead Wrap Variation A
Bead wrap and exit

Outside Roll Tutorial A
This is the outside roll, meaning the beads roll towards the outside (away from you). The easiest way to do it is to grip a bead with the thumb and middle finger, so that you can point your index finger straight out. Then, swing the other bead upwards and over your index finger. Once the string starts to wrap around, release the bead you're holding, and it should follow behind the first one. You need a fair bit of momentum for the beads to make it around, so start the trick with a bit of speed

Inside Roll Tutorial A
This begleri tutorial breaks down how to do an inside roll, meaning towards yourself: Grasp a bead with the thumb and middle finger, and extend the index finger. You need good momentum, so start with a strong upward swing. As the other bead wraps around your finger, release the first bead, and it should follow along. The bead you recapture is actually the one that was swinging to begin with. You can do the catch with your thumb and index finger, or between the index finger and middle finger. If you do the latter, you should end up in a fakie position, meaning the bead is caught and grasped on the outside/ back of the hand. You'll see what I mean in the clip.
